PURCHASE + SETUP + OPERATING COSTS

Choose a business by budget and upkeep

For a small budget, the Office supports active jobs and recruitment; the Market offers a lower entry price for retail. A Club suits service management, while a Warehouse supports production and distribution once you can fund equipment and stock. These are editorial recommendations from documented mechanics, not a net-profit ranking.

Mechanics and exact figures below come from the official Wiki alone, checked on 29 October 2026. They are single-source details; editorial route suggestions are identified separately.

What makes each option work

Choose the workload you want to manage before comparing gross receipts.

  • Office: useful when you want active objectives and a family. L2/L3 upgrades cost $100,000/$250,000 after their FV nodes, so the cheap base Office does not include later capabilities.
  • Market: manage stock and checkout first. You or an employee must remain inside for service. License costs of $10,000/$20,000 for drink L2/L3 are separate from FV drink unlocks.
  • Club: match waiter and bartender capacity, keep routes clear and maintain drinks, motivation and security. More tables only help if service keeps up.
  • Warehouse: the building alone earns nothing from production. Complete the processing/storage chain and fund worker health protection before promising bulk deliveries.
  • Partnership: multiplies base tribute by 7, but daily income varies and the investment can be lost on recapture.

Automation has its own break-even question

The Wiki prices each business manager at $10,000 to hire and $1,500 per day. Enable the 999-point FV manager node first and configure an automation budget. Stock, motivation and training spending share that budget; failure to pay the daily wage pauses automation. Compare the wage with the business finance report before adding a manager.

How to judge the next investment

Use finance reports to compare sales with stock, wages, rent, supplies and losses. Keep expansion cash separate from the reserve needed to operate. A quoted contract payout or retail markup cannot establish profit per day or a payback period. No comparable full-upgrade net-income dataset supports naming one business the most profitable.

Questions

What is the best first business?

Editorially, an Office fits active jobs and recruitment on a smaller budget, while a Market fits hands-on retail with stock money. Choose the operation you can fund and maintain; neither has a documented guaranteed profit lead.

Is a Warehouse better than a Club?

They serve different workflows at the same $50,000 base purchase price. The Club needs service and stock management; the Warehouse needs a complete production chain, healthy staff and a sales outlet.

When should I hire a manager?

After the manager unlock and when the operation can cover the $10,000 hire, $1,500 daily wage and automation spending. Use its finances to judge whether the convenience is affordable.
