Unlock, buy and stock a hot dog stand
An owned hot dog distribution stand needs four separate steps: the 100-point FV unlock, City Hall availability, the stand purchase and inventory to sell. City Hall donations advance only the stand meter. Working a paid hot dog shift is a separate activity.

1. Buy the Feature Vault unlock
Spend 100 FV points on the Hot Dog stand node. Earn FV points from completed activities, sales or quests; donations at City Hall do not award them.
2. Make a stand available at City Hall
Each donation adds 10 to the stand-unlock meter. At 100, another stand becomes available to purchase.

3. Buy the available stand
After filling the meter, purchase the available stand through the stand/City Hall flow. The donation total pays for availability; the stand itself is a separate purchase. The reviewed Wiki does not list a fixed stand purchase price, so leave a cash reserve and read the offer.
4. Transfer stock and enable distribution
Put sellable products into the owned stand’s inventory. For a larger operation, configure Warehouse auto-supply and choose stock targets. Keep the target products available in Warehouse storage, allowing for other deliveries and Cartel commitments. The Wiki gives no dependable stand profit-per-day or location ranking.
Paid shifts and the reported placement problem
For paid work, use the newspaper/map job, prepare the ordered food and serve the queue. A shift does not grant ownership of a distribution stand. A separate Steam thread reports a black screen when entering the stand in TPS; the developer suggested RTS entry. That thread documents a workaround, not the FV or donation figures.

Do donations give me the 100 FV points?
No. The 100 FV points unlock the feature. Donations add 10 per payment to a separate meter that makes another stand available.
How much does owning a stand cost?
Budget 100 FV points, the City Hall donation cycle, the separate purchase quote and initial stock. The Wiki lists a fresh donation cycle at $10,000 with Charisma 1 or $5,000 with Charisma 10; no fixed stand price is documented here.
How do I refill the stand?
Transfer products into its inventory, or configure Warehouse auto-supply with explicit product targets once available.
Is this the same as the hot dog job?
No. The newspaper job pays for preparing and serving food. An owned stand is a stocked distribution outlet with its own unlock and purchase.
