Option 1: buy a replacement

Nightwolf names the Kebab Shop as a seller. Open the shop transaction, move the lockpick to the selected character or shop pallet, and confirm the purchase. If it goes to the pallet, collect it before leaving. The inventory-transfer procedure is from the wiki; no exact map coordinate is established here.

Option 2: make one at a Crafting Table

• Have access to a property, then unlock Crafting Table in the Feature Vault. The wiki lists the node at 100 points and the table at a $5,000 base price; these are separate costs.
• Buy the table, carry it into the property in your character inventory, then right-click it and choose Place.
• Load 5 Scrap Metal into the table, choose the lockpick recipe, start crafting, and collect the finished pick. The wiki lists a base duration of 30 seconds; Craft skill shortens bench time.
• If you already own a placed table, use that one. The $10,000 shop purchase is an alternative to this craft, not a prerequisite.

If the tutorial pick broke

Use either replacement route above. Loot and pickpocket drops are community-reported alternatives, but no guaranteed drop chance is documented. A developer discussed practicing on a pickup truck and a possible longer timer; that discussion alone does not establish a shipped timer upgrade.

For vehicle theft, the wiki describes positioning the pick with the mouse and applying turning pressure with Space. A failed attempt can block another attempt on that car. This control description is single-source.
